The Muni Metro is a light rail network in San Francisco connecting Downtown with various communities in the city, primarily concentrated in the southwestern neighborhoods such as the Sunset, Ocean View, and Ingleside. It currently has six lines, named as letters (J, K, L, M, N, and T), and it primarily uses Italian-made Breda light rail streetcars in its network. The Metro also operates through the longest -- and one of the oldest -- light rail tunnels in the world, the Twin Peaks Tunnel, connecting the Castro, Forest Hill, and West Portal neighborhoods with the rest of the network.
