Passes & Transfers

Transit agencies offer (mostly) complementary transfer and passes that allow riders to continue on with their journeys quicker and easier. Some of these paper transfers also allow travelers to continue to out-of-region agencies for a transfer credit or a small fee.

Transfers and Day Passes

These instruments are used for traveling on a per ride basis, with day passes usually valid up to 3am the following day.

Two transfers are permitted with a paper transfer; one free transfer recognized by Clipper card. A weekday paper transfer allows a commuter to travel with a 2-hour window, while a weekend paper transfer allows a commuter to travel with a 3-hour window. Clipper, on the other hand, recognizes a 2-hour window every day. Valid paper transfer honored as full-fare payment for onward travel to services by Tri-Delta Transit, WestCAT, and Wheels.
Only available on Clipper, day pass activated once the following values are reached:

Adults/Youth: $3.75 (also applies to services by Tri-Delta, WestCAT, and Wheels)
