Take the case of the Management Information System (MIS) of RDF Feed, Livestock & Foods, Inc., a leading agri-food enterprise in Central Luzon, Philippines.  

Established in 2019, the MIS Department is responsible for gathering relevant internal and external data and processing them into useful information through the use of technology. In a span of four years, the department has accomplished notable projects that have resulted in optimizing resource utilization, better decision making, and adeptly supporting adaptation to change.

One of these undertakings is the FEDORA System, which pioneered the implementation of the barcode technology.

Despite the many challenges, the MIS Department continues to lead the company towards quality, efficiency and productivity. Other accomplishments of the department include integrating SMS APIs for seamless ordering, utilizing GPS integration for enhanced services, and successfully venturing into the realm of e-commerce.

The future looks bright for RDF as its MIS Department plans to align all businesses with the Internet of Things (IoT).
